Portland Trail Blazers forward Rodney Hood went down with an injury during the first quarter against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight. Hood went down without apparent contact at the 3:27 mark of the opening period after recovering a rebound. He was helped off the floor by teammates.
According to the Blazers’ Twitter account, Hood will not return to Friday’s matchup against the Lakers. Hood’s injury is labelled as a lower left leg injury.

As of now, there is no definite diagnosis of Hood’s injury. It is worth noting that coach Terry Stotts mentioned that Hood was dealing with Achilles discomfort earlier in the week (via KGW’s Orlando Sanchez).

Hood is averaging 11.5 points per game for the Blazers this season.
