The trade market surrounding Kings center Dewayne Dedmon added another twist prior to Sunday’s contest against the Nuggets. Following speculation tied to his availability, the 30-year-old veteran told The Sacramento Bee that he would like to be traded.
According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, the NBA will look into Dedmon’s comments.
The NBA will investigate the comments of Sacramento Kings forward Dewayne Dedmon to determine if he should be fined for stating he “would like to be traded,” league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Publicly requesting a trade, whether by a player or his representatives, is a violation under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
Last season, demands made by Anthony Davis’ representatives resulted in a $50,000 fine.
Dedmon, who is in the first year of his three-year deal with the Kings, has played sparingly in the month of December.
