After a grueling start to the 2019-20 season, the Trail Blazers are set to enjoy a home-friendly schedule in the month of December. Coach Terry Stotts’ squad will play 10 of their next 14 contests in the comfy confines of the Moda Center, a stark contrast from the previous month that featured nine road games.
Despite the favorable travel schedule, the Blazers will not enter a contest with a rest advantage. NBA.com’s John Schuhmann detailed Portland’s well-rested itinerary.
The Blazers have the league’s most home-heavy December schedule, with 10 of their 14 games at the Moda Center. But they’re one of four teams that doesn’t have a rest-advantage game this month. Their only game against a team playing the second game of a back-to-back (Dec. 21 vs. Minnesota) is also the second game of one of their two December back-to-backs. (They’re just 1-3 in rest-advantage games anyway.)
The Blazers face the Clippers tonight, one of their four road games this month.
