Episode 2 of Damian Lillard’s Docuseries Focuses on His Roots

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard debuted a docuseries, in collaboration with Adidas, last week that tells the story of Lillard’s life and career. Episode 1 started the series with an in-depth look at Lillard’s preparation for big moments.

Episode 2 debuted Thursday and focuses on Lillard’s upbringing in East Oakland, California. Lillard’s mom, Gina, focuses heavily in the episode as she tells stories of a young Lillard, like how he used to practice his shooting routine on a tree in their yard. When the tree was cut down, Lillard then moved on to shooting into a crate nailed to a post.
