The Portland Trail Blazers held off the Golden State Warriors to secure a win at the Moda Center on Wednesday night. CJ McCollum was a bright spot, scoring 30 points, which only trailed Damian Lillard (31 points) for team high. After the game, McCollum said it was an “emotional rollercoaster ride”:

“It was an emotional rollercoaster ride. We gave up tons of offensive rebounds, open threes in transition, then we tightened up in the fourth quarter, did a better job of preventing second-chance opportunities, and got stops.”

McCollum also noted that a win is win, and the team needs to secure victories any way it can, even if they don’t come easy:

“At the end of the season it doesn’t say how much you won each game by, it just says how many wins you have. So we gotta get as many as we can, regardless of circumstances, regardless of how we get it done, we just gotta get it done.”

Portland will play its second game of a four-game home stand on Friday against the Magic.
