Here is the release from the team:
The Portland Trail Blazers revealed their new Nike City Edition NBA uniform, which will make their on-court debut on Wednesday, November 27 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The uniform celebrates 50 years of Trail Blazers basketball and the team, city, fans, region and culture that make up Rip City. To celebrate the fans, the uniform was revealed through fan-submitted photos and memories, creating the Fabric of Rip City Mosaic powered by Biofreeze.
To thank our fans for 50 years, the Trail Blazers and Biofreeze are giving away the Biofreeze Freeze Frame Ultimate Fan Experience including game tickets, early arena access and a Rip City Clothing Co. gift card. To be entered for a chance to win, fans will need to find the special Biofreeze Freeze Frame image amongst thousands of photos that make up the Fabric of Rip City mosaic. To see the complete mosaic and enter the Biofreeze Freeze Frame Ultimate Fan Experience, visit trailblazers.com/fabric.
The uniform is on sale now exclusively at Rip City Clothing Co. at Moda Center. The uniform will be available online at ripcityclothing.co on November 27. Biofreeze will donate $1 from every jersey sold at Rip City Clothing Co. Moda Center location to assist local community programs.
The City Edition uniform design is a mash-up of the Trail Blazers first two uniforms ever (1970-71 and 1971-75 seasons) along with modern design accents and vintage coloring. The “Rip City” across the chest nods to the mantra that was first uttered in a radio broadcast by founding broadcaster Bill Schonely in the Trail Blazers inaugural season and has represented our fans, community and region for five decades.
