In the Portland Trail Blazers’ victory over the San Antonio Spurs, rookie Nassir Little provided the secret ingredient: energy. Jamie Hudson of NBC Sports Northwest reported on the difference Little made in the game, and what it meant to his teammates, as the Blazers have struggled to maintain late-game leads.
And that’s where Little enters the conversation.
“I think he made some amazing plays tonight,” Rodney Hood said postgame. “Offensive rebounds… His energy was amazing and that’s what we needed. If we didn’t have that I don’t think we would’ve pulled this win out. I think he was one of the MVPs of tonight.”
Little finished with a plus/minus of a plus-15, the third best on the team.
Little received his second start in the game against San Antonio, notching five points and eight rebounds.
