According to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian, the Blazers aren’t expecting to see any quit out of their roster.

The Portland Trail Blazers are coming off a hard-fought, 3-1 road trip trumpeting their resilience and togetherness. Every game of the trip involved drama, most intense struggle as well. Though the Blazers didn’t play their best, they emerged victorious more often than not...a fact not lost on the players, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.

Freeman’s article today was a testimony to Portland’s early-season perseverance. Team leaders Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum both noted that the Blazers have no quit.

“We have a lot of fighters on this team,” CJ McCollum said.

“We stay together,” Lillard said. “In this entire road trip, it’s been weird how many ups and downs we’ve had in every game. But we just figure it out.

Freeman notes that Lillard’s superlative play has carried the Blazers through hard times so far, and that he has the full confidence of Head Coach Terry Stotts to pull out wins.

There’s far more to the article, which is worth a read if you want to know how the Blazers are trying to define themselves this season.
