Sony announced Tuesday that they will shut down their cable service, PlayStation Vue. As one of the first cable streaming services on the market, Vue had an early advantage, but they struggled to make the financials work. It will be gone before the NBA’s All-Star Break.

Today we are announcing that we will shut down the PlayStation Vue service on January 30, 2020. Unfortunately, the highly competitive Pay TV industry, with expensive content and network deals, has been slower to change than we expected. Because of this, we have decided to remain focused on our core gaming business.

If you’re using Vue to watch the Blazers this season, take heart, because there are other options. We recently recommended YouTube TV over Vue in our 2019-20 Viewing Guide.
