Hassan Whiteside’s ankle injury should be ready for the Portland Trail Blazers’ opening night, but Pau Gasol’s foot will not be ready to go, according to injury updates. Jamie Hudson of NBC Sports Northwest reports that Gasol’s foot is on pace according to the team, but Gasol will not be set to play.

Meanwhile, Hassan Whiteside reinjured his sprained ankle during the Blazers’ preseason. Joe Freeman of the Oregonian says that Whiteside stated he will be ready to go, despite being limited to non-contact during Saturday’s practice.
