Portland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside exited Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz with a left ankle sprain. Whiteside went up for a rebound in the third quarter and landed on Damian Lillard’s foot. He walked back to the locker room under his own power:

This is the same ankle that Whiteside “tweaked” on the second day of training camp. He recently said that he was pain free after that injury.
Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers relays that the injury is a re-roll of his previously injured ankle and does not appear to be overly serious.
Hassan Whiteside suffered a small cut on his right hand and re-rolled his left ankle. Says it’s not as bad as the initial sprain, seems to be moving around alright.— Casey Holdahl (@CHold) October 17, 2019
