The Trail Blazers have alternated wins and losses in their last ten games. After a grueling schedule dating back to December, it appears that Portland could be in position to secure a string of victories. Eight of the Blazers’ next 11 games feature opponents without winning records, and six of those contests will occur in the Moda Center.
After Saturday’s victory over the Rockets, The Athletic’s Jason Quick spoke with Damian Lillard about where the team is now and what the road ahead looks like.
“I like where we are,” Lillard said. “We’ve had some tough losses, a few rough stretches, but we’ve come out of them. We are in a position where a lot of teams would like to be in, and I think we are going into a good part of our schedule for the rest of the month. So, I like where we are, I like where our mentality is.”
Coupled with Jusuf Nurkic’s emergence, the Blazers’ upcoming schedule could yield serious results. Portland’s current record sits at 23-17, which is three wins behind the Nuggets for first place in the Western Conference.
