A monster 20-3 second-quarter run propelled the Blazers to a big win over the visiting Rockets Saturday night.
- Another former MVP struggles from downtown. Much like former teammate Russell Westbrook the night before, James Harden had troubles finding the range from deep. He shot 5-17 from three, and 13-35 overall.
- Just have the Rockets’ number? This is the second time the Blazers have beaten the Rockets this season, and have been very successful defending Harden with Evan Turner on primary duties.
- Double double-double. Both Damian Lillard (17 points, 12 assists) and Jusuf Nurkic (25 points, 15 rebounds) finished with double-doubles.
- James Harden got three free throws when his teammate was fouled. Yep, seriously. Turner fouled PJ Tucker while fighting around a screen as Harden took a three-pointer. The shot missed, so obviously Harden got three free throws. No, Tucker wasn’t hurt. It was an adventure.
