Damian Lillard Mentioned as Potential All-Star Reserve

Media All-Star ballots are due today. The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor didn’t name Damian Lillard a starter, but likes him as a reserve.

The NBA All-Star Game is less than a month away, and the current fan voting has received criticism for some...interesting selections. Derrick Rose leads James Harden in Western Conference backcourt voting. Dwyane Wade is second in Eastern Conference backcourt voting.

Media voting was due today, and Kevin O’Connor from The Ringer published his list of starters.

Though the media only votes for starters (coaches select the reserves), O’Connor listed his choices for the reserve spots, and Portland’s Damian Lillard made the list:

Lillard is scoring 1.1 points per possession in the pick-and-roll and extending his 3-point shot to Curry territory. If it weren’t for Curry’s existence, we’d laud Lillard’s talents far more than we already do. Dame is unreal
