Jusuf Nurkic Reflects on Massive Performance Against the Kings

Jusuf Nurkic helped the Portland Trail Blazers overcome the Sacramento Kings in overtime thanks to his historic 5x5 stat line. After the game, Nurkic said it was just about doing all he could to help his team:

“I’m glad we got this win, man. I worked my [expletive] off to put us in position there.”

Blazers reporter Brooke Olzendam asked Nurkic how he established himself inside against the Kings:

“I was like, ‘What I can do to help [the team], and keep this lead up, and keep my team in position to win the game?’ I always try to fight, and make hustle plays and smart decisions.”

When Olzendam noted Nurkic’s scoreline included five blocks and five steals, Nurkic replied:

“I thought I had more.” [Laughs]

Nurkic also said how much he appreciated his teammates trusting him and finding him throughout the game to make plays.
