Friday will be a big night for the Portland Trail Blazers’ Meyers Leonard. He returns home to Illinois’ Robinson High School for his official jersey retirement ceremony.
Extremely excited and humbled for this moment. Can’t wait to see everyone Friday! https://t.co/9j2Nfoe0Ai

Leonard entered high school as a guard, but converted to center after a six-inch growth spurt between ninth and tenth grade. He was named a member of the 2010 Illinois All-State Team, and led his school to the IHSA class 2A state championship.
Leonard will be taking a break from his activities in Portland, where he joined Damian Lillard and other players for some early preparation before training camp begins.
