The Portland Trail Blazers held their annual FanFest intra-squad scrimmage at the Moda Center this evening. The Black team beat the Gray 67-53, a mild surprise considering the caliber of the respective lineups:

OK, “mild surprise” isn’t great analysis. The game isn’t exactly your typical knock-down, drag-out affair. It did suit Meyers Leonard just fine.

But the real MVP’s are the rookies, who get hazed mildly by being asked to dance in front of the entire arena. Anfernee Simons and Gary Trent Jr. acquitted themselves well.

And the evening was filled with plenty of highlights:

The Blazers face the Phoenix Suns on Friday night at 7:00 PM, Pacific in their second preseason game. They fell to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night in a game that yielded plenty of impressions.
