The trade rumors surrounding Timberwolves star Jimmy Butler have taken another turn. According to The New York Times’ Marc Stein, Butler has placed the Miami Heat on top of his list of preferred destinations.

Stein then followed up that information with news that potential trade partners are still struggling to clearly communicate with Minnesota.

According to a previous report from Adrian Wojnarowski, the Blazers were on the initial list of teams that contacted the Timberwolves about their disgruntled star.
Butler did not attend Minnesota’s media day, and he has not reported to the start of training camp.
