Trail Blazers newcomer Nik Stauskas is primed for a postseason berth for the first time in his NBA career. The former lottery pick has played for three different teams in his career, and has failed to make the playoffs. After joining the Blazers this summer, Bleacher Report’s Adam Fromal feels that Stauskas has a much better shot at making the postseason.

By joining the Warriors, a healthy DeMarcus Cousins is basically guaranteed to make is playoff debut. Bleacher Report mentioned Stauskas in a slightly different category.

Then we have Payton and Nik Stauskas, both of whom are on Western rosters with legitimate playoff aspirations but no postseason certainties.

The former Michigan standout has played 267 regular season games without a playoff appearance, which places him inside the NBA’s top ten postseason-less players. Veteran forward Omri Casspi is currently No. 1 on the list with 552 regular season games.
