Former Portland Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez helped Real Madrid to a second Euroleague Championship win in four years this week. While the 33-year-old no longer starts for his team, euroleague.net praised him for “energy and commitment”, plus 5 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in 19 minutes during the title game.

Fernandez has played seven years for Real Madrid following four years in the NBA, three with Portland and one with the Denver Nuggets. Drafted 24th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft, Fernandez averaged 9.1 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 24.1 minutes per game with the Blazers.
