The Portland Trail Blazers have one of the best backcourts in the NBA with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, who were both rewarded handsomely after their rookie contracts with big-money extensions. Their NBA salary helps both of them land on Forbes’ list of the top 100 highest-paid athletes in the world.
Lillard ranks No. 24 after taking in $39.2 million last year. According to Forbes, Lillard took in $13 million from endorsements on top of his $26.2 million salary. Lillard’s endorsers include Adidas, Panini, and Powerade.
Five NBA players rank ahead of Lillard: LeBron James (No. 6), Stephen Curry (No. 8), Kevin Durant (No. 11), Russell Westbrook (No. 13), and James Harden (No. 14).
McCollum lands at No. 67 after taking in $25.8 million last year. According to Forbes, he tacked on $2 million in endorsements to his $23.8 million salary. His endorsers include Li-Ning, Panini, and Pepsi.
