During a press conference today, LeBron James threw a jab at the Portland Trail Blazers over their failure to select Kevin Durant in the 2007 NBA Draft. Holding the first overall pick, the Blazers went with Ohio State center Greg Oden over Texas forward Durant. The latter has become an NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, NBA MVP, and four-time scoring champion. Oden has long since exited the league.
During the conference, LeBron had choice words for the Blazers. ESPN’s Chris Haynes conveyed them first:
LeBron James said everyone knew Kevin Durant was designed for greatness: “Everyone except for Portland.”

NBA TV followed up with the video.
"Everybody knew that besides... Portland."

Thanks, LeBron. We’ll just be down here in the gutter, wiping the sneaker print off of our forehead.
