Damian Lillard is known for his late-game heroics, making big shot after big shot for the Portland Trail Blazers and leading his team to a win several times a season. That made him an easy choice for the NBPA’s “Mr. Clutch” Award, given to Lillard on Sunday. When San Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay appeared on Uninterrupted’s halftime show during Game 2 of the NBA Finals, he reflected on Lillard’s status as one of the best in crunch time:
.@RudyGay on @Dame_Lillard: "He just seizes the moment every time."

“The way he does it — whether it’s going to the basket, shooting threes — he just seizes the moment every time.
It takes a lot to be counted on to make those shots all the time, because, you know, when you miss you get the scrutiny too. He’s willing to go out there and do that, so much respect.”
