Portland Trail Blazers play-by-play man Kevin Calabro won a Northwest Emmy for sports play-by-play Saturday night. The Northwest Emmy event was put on by the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Blazers television producer Dan Hyatt shared a picture of Calabro with his award:

Calabro was nominated among play-by-play broadcasters David Sims (Seattle Mariners), Jake Zivin (Portland Timbers), Keith Costigan (Seattle Sounders), and Tom Glasgow (ROOT Sports).
The Blazers hired Calabro and broadcast partner Lamar Hurd in 2016. Calabro is a broadcasting veteran who previously spent 21 years with the Seattle SuperSonics.
