The NBA announced its All-Defensive teams Wednesday afternoon, and while no Portland Trail Blazers made the teams, Damian Lillard (1), Al-Farouq Aminu (2), and Ed Davis (1) each earned at least one Second Team vote. The Blazers’ improved defense was a focal point of the 2017-18 season, with seemingly the entire team buying into a focus on the defensive end. Here are the complete All-Defensive teams:
2017-18 All-Defensive First Team
C: Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz
F/C: Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
G: Victor Oladipo, Indiana Pacers
G: Jrue Holiday, New Orleans Pelicans
F: Robert Covington, Philadelphia 76ers
2017-18 All-Defensive Second Team
C: Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
F: Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors
F/C: Al Horford, Boston Celtics
G: Dejounte Murray, San Antonio Spurs
G/F: Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves
Lillard and Aminu each received one Second Team vote last year as well. You can find a breakdown of this year’s voting here.
