The NBA Draft Lottery is Tuesday night, and that means it’s time to start making predictions ahead of the NBA Draft, held on June 21. The Portland Trail Blazers hold the 24th overall pick and ESPN released a mock draft (Insider) that had Portland selecting Chandler Hutchison out of Boise State.
The 6 foot 7 inch Hutchison is a combo SG/SF and, according to ESPN, could add to Portland’s lack of wing depth:
Portland’s wing rotation could use some added depth.
Hutchison made significant strides with his game as a senior. He looks primed to take advantage of the lack of wings in the draft — and the NBA in general — this June. He has outstanding physical tools and is a much-improved ball handler and perimeter shooter.
As a senior, Hutchison averaged 20 points and nearly eight rebounds per game on 36 percent shooting from the 3-point line with the Broncos.
