Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers have fallen victim to the injury bug over the last two weeks and are in dire need of good news. In the nick of time, Jason Quick of NBC Sports Northwest is reporting that he spoke to Lillard, who said that he intends to play in Portland’s game on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs.
Quick also reported that injured center Ed Davis said that he would be rejoining the Blazers on their current road trip. Video of Quick’s report is here:

Only two stops remain on Portland’s final road swing of the season: San Antonio and a match-up with the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Exactly when Davis will join up with the team and whether he will play against either the Spurs or the Nuggets is not yet known.
Portland stands at 48-31 in the Western Conference Playoffs Race, needing a single win to guarantee themselves homecourt advantage in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
