Damian Lillard is expected to miss Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets with a left ankle injury, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports. Lillard injured the ankle in a Portland Trail Blazers loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

The guard attempted a drive late in the game and landed on Salah Mejri’s foot, and after he was seen visibly hobbling.

Lillard was captured riding a cart out of the arena Tuesday night by Jason Quick of NBC Sports Northwest. On Wednesday, Blazers beat reporter Casey Holdahl snapped a picture of Lillard not in a walking boot, possibly a very good sign.

After the Rockets, Portland plays Saturday, April 7 against the San Antonio Spurs.
