Following the Portland Trail Blazers’ 131-123 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, ending Portland’s playoff run in a four-game sweep, Blazers Head Coach Terry Stotts gave post-game interviews to assembled media members. Here is the full video of the event, followed by select quotes from Stotts about the game, the performance of All-Star guard Damian Lillard, and the season as a whole.

On Game 4:

Tonight I thought we showed a lot of fight. I was kind of an uneven series in that at times we felt we struggled to score, sometimes in games like tonight we found lots of scoring... Hats off to New Orleans. They played really well. Their stars really put on a show tonight. They had different people step up at different times.

On New Orleans shutting down Damian Lillard:

It was pretty obvious...they were running people at him, trapping him any chance they had. It was difficult. They made him a priority and they made it very difficult for him. But in the end we were still...a game night tonight where we score 123. It’s a team game and they made Dame the priority.

On the significance of the sweep and the year:

We had a good regular season. We did a lot of positive things in the regular season. But ultimately you’re defined by the postseason.
