Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Terry Stotts may have patrolled the sidelines for the last time in Portland, according to Marc Stein of the NY Times. Following a playoffs sweep at the hands of the New Orleans Pelicans, Stotts is facing the dreaded hot seat.
The mumurs have already started In coaching circles that 10 consecutive playoffs defeats will cost Terry Stotts his job in Portland, but league sources say Orlando would register immediate interest in Stotts if he becomes available— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) April 22, 2018
The loss completed Stotts’ sixth season in Portland. With point guard Damian Lillard in the driver’s seat, Stotts has accumulated a 272-220 regular season record, but the Blazers have not fared as well in the postseason, going 11-23 while appearing in the playoffs for five straight years. Stotts also spent two seasons each with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks.
