The Portland Trail Blazers will take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the NBA Playoffs after the Pelicans beat the San Antonio Spurs earlier Wednesday night. Because of the Pelicans’ win, Portland will have home-court advantage for their first-round series.

With Portland beating the Utah Jazz Wednesday night, the Blazers-Pelicans series will be the 3/6 matchup in the West. On Portland’s side of the playoff bracket are the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs in the 2/7 matchup.

An unknown, however, is the official playoff schedule, with game times/dates/television networks, which could come later Wednesday night.

Stay tuned to Blazer’s Edge for updates on the schedule, the official Western Conference seeding picture, and an extended preview of Blazers-Pelicans from Mr. Dave Deckard himself.
