The Portland Trail Blazers already knew that Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving would not suit up when the two teams met at Moda Center on Friday night due to a left knee injury. According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, Irving and the Celtics are moving to address the issue with a knee procedure on Saturday.

Irving has averaged 24.4 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.8 rebounds in 60 appearances for the Celtics this season. Boston holds a 48-23 record, good for second in the Eastern Conference. They are 2-2 since Irving went down.
