R.J. Adelman, Former NBA Coach and Son of Rick Adelman, Killed in Auto Accident

Blazer’s Edge and our entire staff offer condolences to the family and loved ones of R.J. Adelman at the news of his passing. According to a TMZ article posted today, Adelman was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Houston, Texas on Friday, February 2nd, was transported to a local hospital, and later succumbed to the injuries from the accident.

Adelman worked for the Seattle Supersonics, Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He is the son of former NBA coach Rick Adelman and his wife Mary Kay. Rick Adelman served as Portland Trail Blazers head coach from 1989 to 1994. R.J. graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon.
