This makes McCollum the eighth Vice President of the committee, joining First Vice President LeBron James, and fellow Vice Presidents Stephen Curry, Andre Iguodala, Anthony Tolliver, Carmelo Anthony, Garrett Temple, and Pau Gasol. The current President of the committee is Chris Paul.
McCollum was the Trail Blazers team representative, which would mean his alternate, Damian Lillard, would become the new team rep.
Voting on new representatives usually takes place during the week prior to the All-Star game. Gasol was selected by the committee at this time last year.
