The Portland Trail Blazers tried to sign Marco Belinelli after his contract was bought out by the Atlanta Hawks this past weekend, according to Belinelli himself in a press conference with the team he chose to sign with, the Philadelphia 76ers. The 6’5” shooting guard also named the Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors, and Milwaukee Bucks as suitors. John Johnson of Sports Radio 94WIP in Philadelphia relays the report.

Belinelli averaged 11.4 points in 23.3 minutes per game with the Hawks this season on 41.1% shooting, 37.2% from the three-point arc. He’s 31 years old with 11 seasons of NBA experience.
