Portland Trail Blazers Christmas Wishes, Part 10

The Blazer’s Edge Staff shares holiday wishes for the Portland Trail Blazers

NBA: Houston Rockets at Chicago Bulls Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

As the Portland Trail Blazers head to Utah to face the Jazz on Christmas Day, the Blazer’s Edge Staff is compiling a list of Christmas wishes for the team. We asked each staffer to give one, simple wish to improve Portland’s lot. We’ll present them to you throughout the holiday.

Closing the show: Paul Navarre and Kody Tarbell

PAUL:

I want Santa to leave the Blazers a starting-caliber small forward.

I’m not greedy. I’m not asking for a superstar... although Santa, don’t you owe us for all of those years of coal in the Blazers’ stocking? But seriously, all I ask for is 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. Is that too much to ask? Blazers fans have been good, I promise.

[Ed. But Paul, the rest of us really want more Photostotts for Christmas...]

KODY:

All I want from the Blazers is for the front office to take a gamble.

Olshey has hitched his weapon to this core and so far it’s shown no better then second tier in the packed Western Conference. Wither it’s the Trade deadline in February or this next offseason, I want this team to take a gamble. Go all in for another super star, even if it may cost you a promising Collins, Simmons or even CJ. If baseballs coming to Portland, I want this team to swing for the fences out of middle purgatory.
