As the Portland Trail Blazers head to Utah to face the Jazz on Christmas Day, the Blazer’s Edge Staff is compiling a list of Christmas wishes for the team. We asked each staffer to give one, simple wish to improve Portland’s lot. We’ll present them to you throughout the holiday.
First up is Timmay.

My Christmas wish for the Blazers is a time machine. Yep, that’s right, a time machine. Send someone back to 2015 to wave their hands in slow motion, yelling “NOOOOOOO!” all around One Center Court. Show them the future: Three-and-a-half years later, smack-dab in the middle of Damian Lillard’s prime, with a motley crew of players underplaying their contracts. Tell them how much they’ll spend the following summer, and their return on investment. Then in a spooky voice, repeatedly mutter, “Heed these words: 2016 will not be the new normal!”. There. Problem solved.
