The 2019 NBA All-Star Game draft will be televised, representing a change from last year, according to the New York Times’ Marc Stein and Kevin Draper. Both the NBA and NBPA had to come to terms in order for the change to be approved.
Last year, captains Stephen Curry and LeBron James made their draft choices in a closed-door setting, to much debate about the logistics and entertainment value televising the draft would bring.
The report also says Jan. 30 or 31 have emerged as potential draft dates; it will be televised on TNT.
