The Portland Trail Blazers might get injured forward Maurice Harkless back on the court during their current road trip. While he’s out against the Lakers, Harkless told Jason Quick of The Athletic (subscription required) that returning is a “possibility” this road trip:
“We’ve talked about (returning on the trip); it’s a possibility,” Harkless told The Athletic. “I just have to take it day-by-day, but I’ve been feeling pretty good about where I’m at.”
Harkless tells Quick that he felt pain after the Oct. 27 Miami game, his last appearance on the floor this season:
The knee bothered him throughout the summer, and he missed all of preseason before returning in a reserve role, and on a minutes restriction, for the first five games. In that fifth game, at Miami, Harkless said he felt “a really sharp pain” in the knee, and he hasn’t played since.
Harkless will miss his ninth game of the season Wednesday at the Lakers. The current road trip will end Nov. 23 against the Warriors. You can read more from Quick here (subscription required).
