Lillard to Lakers? (with POLL!!)

I got a message from a co-worker (Laker fan) this morning referencing a Bletcher Report (see what I did there?) that there are "'Whispers that the Blazers should break up Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum".

I told him two things:

First, that the Bleacher Report has always been and remains fan-level blogging, not journalism. No offense to the top notch bloggers in and around Blazersedge -- ya'll are the gold standard!

Secondo, EVERYBODY LOVES CJ AND DAME AND WILL START A RUMOR AT THE DROP OF A HAT TO TRY TO GET THE CONVERSATION GOING TO TRADE ONE OF THEM AWAY WITH THE HOPES THAT THEY MIGHT ACTUALLY BECOME AVAILABLE. THEY AREN’T.

Then, I came across this in Zach Lowe's crazy predictions article on the ESPN:

The most enticing mega-trade on the board not involving Anthony Davis: Lillard to the Lakers for a package centered around Lonzo Ball. Lillard is a perfect fit next to LeBron, and LeBron respects Lillard's game, per sources familiar with the matter.

So, B'Edgers, what do you think? Because we have a 1st Team All-NBA player, other teams/players/fans are going to want him, sure. But is this 'want' what's causing the chatter and speculation or is there actual trade talk between GM's going on? Is Dame wanting to move to a new team, or is any talk of it purely speculative?

In my mind there are only maybe 3 or so NBA players that the Blazers would trade Dame for, and the circumstances of the trade would have to be to Portland's clear advantage. i.e. Lillard is not going to be traded for a one-year rental even if it's Butler or Durant.

Here's a poll. Also I look forward to your comments below. I dare you to try to change my perspective on this.
