After making his G-League debut just a week ago, Portland Trail Blazers rookie Caleb Swanigan is finding his groove. In three games with the Canton Charge, the forward has managed no less than 28 minutes a night, scoring 10+ points in every game and grabbing 10+ rebounds all but once (the other was nine).
Wednesday night against the Wisconsin Herd, Biggie had his best game so far with 28 points on 9-13 shooting (including 2-3 from three), 15 rebounds (seven offensive), and five assists:

With the Blazers’ rotation in constant flux and a glut of big men in front of him, the Purdue product was destined for more DNPs without this temporary move to the G-League. In 15 games with the Blazers, Swanigan played 20 minutes just once, more than half of his appearances featuring less than 10 minutes. The forward averaged 2.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 8.9 minutes per night.
In three games with the Charge, Swanigan is averaging 18.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 31.8 minutes per game.
