Portland Trail Blazers rookie forward Caleb Swanigan is returning from his G-League assignment with the Canton Charge next week, concluding a five-week stay with the developmental team. Jason Quick of NBCSports Northwest reports via Twitter.

Swanigan appeared in 15 games with the Blazers this season before his Christmas Eve assignment to Canton. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds with the big-league squad in 8.9 minutes per game. He’s played 12 games for the Charge, averaging 31.2 minutes, 14.8 points, and 12.5 rebounds. His shooting percentage of 35.7% with the Blazers skyrocketed to 49.3% in the G-League.

The recall comes on the heels of similar news for Blazers guard Wade Baldwin, assigned to the Texas Legends on a two-way contract, now returning to the Trail Blazers.
