The 2018 NBA All-Star Game now has its starters, elected via vote among NBA fans, media, and players. LeBron James received the most votes for the Eastern Conference, Stephen Curry for the Western Conference. They will become team captains in the new, “select your squad” format. Joining that duo will be:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Joel Embiid
  • Kyrie Irving
  • DeMar DeRozan
  • James Harden
  • Kevin Durant
  • Anthony Davis
  • DeMarcus Cousins

James and Curry will select from among fellow starters and All-Star reserves, the latter to be named on January 23rd.

In the new voting system, fan votes accounted for 50% of the total, with NBA media and players each weighing in at 25%.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard finished 8th among Western Conference guards in fan voting, 4th among players, and 7th among media members.
