Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic and New Orleans Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins are two of most talkative players around the league. When they found themselves tangled up with each other on more than one occasion Friday night, the bad blood spilled into post-game comments.
In a video posted by NBC Sports Northwest, Nurkic isn’t too kind of his counterpart:
“(Bleep), I mean, he’s not that tough ... [He] looks like first team flopping … he’s never been to the playoffs—talking (bleep) for no reason.”
Cousins offered his thoughts:
“Why would anything be personal? I don’t hear anything he’s saying.”
Nurkic posted 19 points and five rebounds on the night while Cousins dominated with 24 points, 19 rebounds and eight assists. The two boisterous big men will have to wait until Mar. 27 to face off again.
