Archie Goodwin will get a tryout from the Portland Trail Blazers as part of their training camp roster this fall according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Goodwin stands at 6’5 and fills both guard positions but primarily has played shooting guard in his four-year NBA career. The 22-year-old played for the Phoenix Suns for three years after being selected 29th overall in the 2013 NBA Draft. He suited up for the New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets last season. Goodwin holds career averages of 6.3 points and 1.2 assists in 14.5 minutes per game with 165 total appearances. He topped out at 8.9 ppg in 2015-16. His career field goal percentages average to 42.9%, 23.6% from three-point range, though he raised those to 54.5% and 33.3% last year. (Stats courtesy of basketball-reference.com.)

The Blazers have 14 players under guaranteed contract currently, leaving one slot open for the regular season.
