Trail Blazers rookie Zach Collins started training camp with a bang, and not the good kind. According to Joe Freeman of the Oregonian, the first-year forward sat out the opening of camp because of a concussion.
Zach Collins missed practice because he's going through the NBA concussion protocol. He suffered a concussion Friday during 3-on-3 play.

Protocol mandates that players be cleared by the medical staff before resuming play following any concussion.
The Blazers drafted Collins 10th overall in the 2017 NBA Draft.
