Jason McIntyre of Fox Sports reports that Carmelo Anthony’s camp is urgently trying to get a deal done between the New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets before Anthony accepts a trade to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Knicks star can choose to waive his No-Trade Clause if an acceptable deal is struck.
Carmelo Anthony's people are trying a Hail Mary attempt to get him to Houston (Knicks won't do it) ... before he accepts a deal to Portland

If substantive, McIntyre’s report suggests that the Trail Blazers and Knicks have a trade in place that could go through unless the Rockets and Knicks come to an agreement soon. Anthony has long preferred Houston as a destination and has an ETO (Early Termination Option) in his contract after the 2017-18 NBA season.
Parameters of the alleged trade proposal have not been disclosed. Trail Blazers stars Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum actively recruited Anthony throughout the summer.
