News! Yay, let’s go over some news! Damian Lillard threw a party in Oakland where he is zip-lining, and then visited the Late Show where he revealed he's a vegan now. Jusuf Nurkic is number 69 on the SI top 100 players. CJ McCollum is locked into a twitter debate with NBA media about player-rankings.

It looks like the Trail Blazers are all-in on 6’5” shooting guards: Pat Connaughton, whose option was picked up, training-camp invitee Archie Goodwin and 2-way contract signee CJ Wilcox are all in Portland.

Given all this, how do we determine, what the identity of this team is? We look at a variety of tools the team has and try to decide if they will push the Blazers past the middle into the top of the league.

Is this the year that Damian Lillard masters slipping through screens, that CJ McCollum’s on-court movement confounds defenses and Jake Layman’s cutting and finishing potential combine to be more than a sum of their parts? Tune in to the Blazer’s Edge podcast for all this and more.
