The 2018 NBA MVP Award will not be presented for another ten months, but the odds-makers at Bovada have put out a line on early favorites. Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook sits at 7/2 to repeat his 2017 win, but Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant is not far behind at 9/2. Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard lies among a pack of four players at 50/1 odds, 17th from the top. DeMar Derozan of the Raptors, Joel Embiid of the Sixers, and Kyrie Irving of the Cavaliers (for now) rank alongside Lillard. Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets and Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers stand just above at 40/1, Warriors forward Draymond Green just below at 60/1.
Here’s the list of all players with better than 100/1 odds to take the MVP trophy next year. Who’s your favorite and who do you think presents the best value on the list? Have at it in the comment section.
