Following Adrian Wojnarowski’s Thursday report that Carmelo Anthony “remains steadfast that he only plans to waive his no-trade clause for the Rockets and refuses to expand his list to include more possible destinations,” Wojnarowski appeared on The Russillo Show and stated that the Portland Trail Blazers are “a sleeper team” to get Anthony to waive his no-trade clause.

Wojnarowski also indicated that Trail Blazers guards Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum have done a good job recruiting Anthony:

Anthony has been the subject of trade rumors since early July, with Houston being the only team that piques his interest as a possible destination. He cannot be traded to any team until he agrees to waive his no-trade clause.
